TMD / TMJ Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine
Course objectives
At the end of the course you will have a better understanding on TMJ disorders & Sleep Medicine.
To understand the basic principles of diagnosis and differential diagnosis of orofacial pain conditions.
To identify common TMJ/TMD issues and to gain in depth knowledge on their management. Know principles of TMJ appliances.
Understand the different types of headaches, classification of headaches and identify red flags in headaches.
Understand the principles of occlusion and discuss the myths of occlusion
Identify the non-dental causes of tooth aches
Understand Myofascial pain and referral patterns of pain to teeth and associated structures and management of the same
Learn about neuropathic dental pains
Discuss the value of such techniques as jaw tracking, jaw vibration, scans etc in an evidence based, literature based manner
Gain in depth knowledge about Sleep disorders and learn the diagnosis and management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea
To Treat cases that have been in remission with prosthetic rehabilitation.
To recognize when to treat and when not to treat wear and its association with TMD

One year program with four modules consisting of 3 days per module.
Includes all materials, work-ups, scans and one-on-one faculty training
